IDS Network

IDS teaches Lincoln-Douglas Debate.  Any form of debate is excellent training in public speaking.  Lincoln-Douglas debate specifically emphasizes logic and reasoning skills.  Debaters learn to crystallize arguments and get to the heart of any issue.  LD is also called Values Debate, as debaters argue using values upon which our lives and society are based. 

The debates involve only two debaters.  Each side is given several speeches to present his or her case, refute arguments presented by the opposing side, and cross-examine their opponent.
